AdultWood2ZEN & SAWDUST:
JEWELRY BOX
Our beginning woodworking classes
are an introduction to the tools,
techniques and machinery used for
cabinet making.  We also
introduce students to the properties
of wood, and the differences
between common species of
hardwoods and softwoods. Small
classes mean students learn basic
skills and also grasp how design
and craftsmanship interrelate in a
very practical way. Classes are
centered on specific projects which have a basic theme for each session. Projects vary from small pieces of furniture like end tables
and traditional wall cabinets, to jewelry boxes. To make the projects
more personal, each student can interpret the session’s theme in a
way that suits his or her own design sense. $60 Material fee due to
instructor.  Prerequisite:  Woodworking Safety Orientation.
Students who fail to complete the prerequisite will be withdrawn
and charged a 20% refund processing fee.  $211 Members;
$216 Non-members.
